Almost..........
....walking by himself. We had so much fun watching Drew take very few steps by himself. He is so close, he will be on his own soon!
Poor Tommy
Today Tommy Tahoe broke down on Mark. Bless his heart, I was already at work and Mark called stuck in the Publix parking lot. I had to go pick him up and wait on the tow truck.
Happy Birthday Drew Bug!
Drew turned 1 on Thursday and we celebrated at his house on Saturday. We had such a great time celebrating. He had yummy cupcakes, fun gifts and lots of family and friends to help him celebrate. I took some pictures but also had fun with my new flip video camera, if I could just get a steady hand. I could just watch these and laugh at him all day.

Boy Toys
Mark has finally gotten a few toys that he has wanted for months. One being a new grill - which we love. It's so convenient, quick and easy - we use it a lot! The other is his tool bench in the garage. He, his dad, nephew and brother-in-law built this one Saturday in March. He is so proud of it, I think it looks great. They did an awesome job! He's my little Tool Man and Grill Master.
He still has some organizing to do but he'll get there!
Safe and Sound
I'm happy to say that after the tornadoes hit Murfreesboro on Friday we are safe and sound, others were not as fortunate. While at work we listened to the news all afternoon and I was pretty sure it had hit on the other side of town but it was still nice to come home and see the house still standing with no damage at all. We are so blessed that our house/neighborhood was NOT touched. Traffic was awful on Friday afternoon but we could see some of the damage from the interstate. This evening we went to drive around and scope it out. They pretty much had most roads blocked but we did manage to see some of the damage. It really puts everything into perspective when you see it yourself. It's just so amazing to see the damage on one house and then the one right next door is just fine, very weird. We are so blessed that we are all safe and sound. The Lord was definitely watching over us, I'm not sure how we would have handled the clean-up, etc with a wedding coming up in 2 weeks!
Here are a few pictures we managed to get this afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Hutcherson
Congratulations to Amie and Hutch! They got married on Saturday, April 4th. Amie was beautiful and the ceremony was gorgeous! We were so excited to spend this special time with them and see some old friends.

Her dress was beautiful, I loved the back!
Me and Mark - we thought about the couple

Night with the girls
A few weeks ago my friend Katie hosted a shower/bachelorette party for me. Despite the tornadoes we had a great night. We started with dinner (after the tornado sirens and Laura showing up) at1808 Grille in downtown Nashville, then we had a night in at Katie's house playing games, eating, chatting and opening gifts. Thank you so much Katie and all you girls that made the trip out that Saturday night.
I was so excited to have all my bridesmaids together

Sears Tower For-eva!
Word on the street is that Sears Tower in Chicago will be renamed as the Willis Tower after an insurance broker tenant in the building. Puuhh-lease, that's like calling the Empire State Building the Global State building after Global Impact Communications, a tenant in that bu idling. Gee, you can't just change the name of a landmark like that. So Sears Tower For-eva!
Lots going on
We had a very busy weekend a couple of weeks ago. Mom came out on Thursday to my shower at work, (see earlier post), then Friday I had my bridal portraits. We had such a good time. The weather was perfect, although a little windy. I am very pleased with the pictures and now have to choose which ones to order, which will be a tough decision. On Saturday, I had my shower in Columbia with Mark's family. There have been other showers, baby showers, in his family in the past couple of months too so it has been nice to spend more time with his extended family and get to know them before the wedding. Mark's sister, Melanie, hosted the Columbia shower at the Athenaeum, which used to be an all girls school - back in the day. The building just has a lot of character, it was beautiful. There was a large crowd, fabulous, tasty food and lots of fun gifts. They had such a spread of food and the table was just beautiful. She included lots of personal touches, which I love, Hershey's kisses, napkins, favors, and the cake of course. Because of the historic pictures in the bu idling we were unable to take pictures with the flash so all I have are those outside. While mom was here I wanted to do some decorating with the items I have received at the showers. So with a couple of stops at Bed Bath and Beyond we finally had what we needed. We were so busy Saturday afternoon and Sunday but had a fun time. I was so glad mom was able to come out and spend time with me and enjoy the festivities. She says we probably won't have any more of those weekends. You wanna bet, we'll kick Mark out if we have to. :) Thanks Mom!
