Molly's Boyfriend

Molly has a new best friend, aside from me and Mark, it's the neighbor's British bulldog, obviously not in the class of a Maltese. She sure does run with the big dogs. Every day she'll go over to the fence and Jack is ready to run her back and forth, although he may eat her if they ever meet outside the fence. It's so fun to watch our little social bug. :)

Back Where I Come From

I have a project that I'm working on for the house. My dad got a couple of old church pews out of an old church in East Tennessee. I have a small room at the top of our stair case that just needs a little something. So I'm going to fix up the church pew and add a few throw pillows. I've also taken some pictures of downtown Rockwood and Columbia (the towns where Mark and I grew up) that I want to hang in the space. AND I'm also making my own letter art spelling our last name. I'll be sure to post a picture of the final pieces.

Here's a peek of the pictures from Rockwood and Columbia.

Party, Party

In March I had the joy of celebrating my best friend's pregnancy as she prepares for her first child and also my grandmother's 80th birthday.

It's hard to believe my bestie has a baby (which I have yet to meet). I had a great time hosting one of her showers with two other very sweet girls. Jess was beautiful as always and I know she's going to be a wonderful mother. We're really growing up. :)

My Mamaw Butler turned 80 this year. She's a breast cancer survivor and hero. It's always fun to celebrate with our family.

Celebratin' My Birthday

The big 2-8. There wasn't too much celebrating going on this year. I did have a yummy dinner with friends at Suzy Wong's House of Yum and Yum it was! Mark's not even a sushi eater but he tried some and actually liked it (crunchy of course). I also got to spend time with the family, which I always enjoy!

Let's face it, Mark is usually not the best gift giver or maybe it's that he's not the best at listening to ALL the ideas I throw his way in any given year (or day). But I'll tell ya, he's knocked it out of the park with these past couple of birthdays. Last year was a Kindle which I read ALL the time and this year............wait for it, wait for it..............a new lens for my SLR. OHHHH, I was so excited!! This is the big daddy that will zoom so much I don't have to change my lens all the time. Woohoo, thanks honey! Get ready for all the fun pictures I'm going to take.

But first I would like to take a class, any suggestions?

Mid-Year's Resolution

So is there's a such thing as a mid-year's resolution, mine is to update my blog more regularly. I have really been slacking. I just can't seem to find the time to type it out. I have a list of things I want to talk about so.........I'm starting now. I'm going to start back in March and make my way up to present day, hopefully it won't take too long. I also plan to get a new look for my blog, keep visiting.
