Pura Vida

Two weeks ago I "HAD" to go to Costa Rica for work. I know, gosh, there are worse places to work, right? This was an incentive trip for our sales force. We stayed at the JW Marriott Guanacaste and it was AMAZING! The staff was wonderful and the resort was awesome! I hope to definitely go back here some day.

For the awards banquet the entire ballroom was covered in plants to give it a rain forest feel. It was unreal! Many believed these props were permanent but no siree, these were transported in just for us!

A lot of the week was sitting at a hospitality desk in a dark and cold conference room catering to our attendees except for a few hours the last couple of days. Friday we went jet skiing in the ocean. Oh my, what a great time! It was a full 3 hour excursion and worth every minute. We would hit the waves just right and at times we could see nothing but water all around us. It was such an adventure. On the last day we had 5 hours of sun/pool time and boy did we eat that up!?!? I had sunscreen on and of course still got blistered. I am still peeling like a mad man! We were so glad to see the sun, we asked for it! :)

Look at the fishies!

A few weeks ago we met Bradley, Casey and Drew in Chattanooga to go to the Aquarium. It was a beautiful day and we really enjoyed it! Drew of course loved playing in the water the most. :) We went to lunch and ended the day with ice cream at Ben & Jerry's. This trip was also right after Drew started saying my name. He calls me Aunt Tate because he can't quite say his "K" yet. :) It just melts my heart!

I love this kid!

Loving on the penguin.

Family shots!

Whew, lots of catching up to do.

I'm going to back up to the first of March. We had our largest trade show in Atlanta so that's where I celebrated my birthday too. In our booth we had two former Globetrotters. They were a huge hit interacting with the attendees and demonstrating teamwork. These were two of the nicest guys I've ever met.

We at Happy Sumo, a Japanese Steak and Sushi Bar, for my birthday. There were several of us that went and we had a great time.

This is Ashley and me in my sumo head. Ashley called it a Geisha Mullet!

Mark did great with my b-day present this year!! He got me a Kindle which I absolutely LOVE! He has such a hard time with gifts for me but he was perfect this year. Now if my case would just not be back ordered. I also got some money with which I intend to buy a dutch oven but I still need to do my research. They are way too expensive!
