Meet Anna

Mark and I have come to the decision that he will move into my house in April and we will stay there for a couple of years (maybe). We have thrown the idea around of building, moving closer to Nashville. But we aren't real sure of where we want to live. We have a floor plan but not really sure about what piece of land to put it on. :) So we are going to take this time to really decide where we want to be, enjoy the first few years of marriage, save up some additional funds, and just have fun. There are several couples that live near me now, so we are looking forward to more dinner dates with them.

I have been going to a church ever since I came to school. Now that we are staying right here, we are praying that is our church home and will probably join that church soon. I have been so reluctant to join, just because while in school, well I was a college student, going home a lot, just wasn't stable. I still haven't joined because I had no idea what my future held, where I would be, if I would continue to live here for many more years or just until I got married, etc.. Since Mark and I have been dating he has been going to this church with me and just loves it. We enjoy the preacher, the church family, the community, etc. So after praying, we think it is the best decision to stay where we are, get involved in this church and see where the Lord leads us from there.

With all that said, since we are going to have a 40 mile commute to work, one way, we have decided to start putting the miles on something else. We call her Anna Honda. I have had my Tahoe since graduating college and with the jobs I have had, there have been some traveling so Tommy Tahoe has more miles than he should. We decided to let Mark drive Tommy and I am now driving Anna (see her below). After we get married, we will be able to commute together, so that will help us some. We will let Anna catch up and let Tommy sit in the garage for a bit.

Congratulations Katie and Jon!

Nashville is just full of engaged couples! :) This weekend we had another party to celebrate the engagement of our friends Katie and Jon. We are so happy for them, after dating several years, Jon finally popped the question while they were at the beach in June. It was Katie's dream proposal. They are such an awesome couple, we have so much fun with them! They have set their date for May 9, 2009. So yes, needless to say it's going to be a busy Spring, full of weddings! Katie is in my wedding and I am in hers, we have really enjoyed planning and talking about all of these things together. We will get to enjoy many showers and bachelorette parties next year, we are so excited! I can't wait until our big days next year!

Congratulations Amie and Hutch!

Saturday my friends Erica and Katie gave their sister Amie and me an engagement party. Amie just got engaged July 3 and their wedding is planned for April 4th. Mark and I are so excited for them.
Amie and I met at Toys "R" Us and have been friends for several years since. I then became very good friends with her entire family. With our busy lives we haven't been able to spend as much time together as we like. So this weekend was very nice to catch up with everyone and have a great time. Erica and Katie went to so much trouble for this party, you guys did AWESOME! We had a great meal, champagne toast, gifts, lots of conversation, great weather and fun! Thank you again, it really meant a lot to us!

Happy Birthday Bradley!

This weekend we celebrated Bradley's birthday with a pool day and cookout at mom and dad's but today is the big day! I have not seen the sun or pool/lake all summer so I have been looking forward to this weekend for a long time. We had such a great time, but boy was it hot. We got Drew in the pool for a few minutes but he does not like the heat, so that didn't last long. We grilled out and had homemade ice cream, YUM! Saturday night Mark and I were the baby borrowers. We kept Drew while Bradley and Casey were at a party. He is so talkative now, he just lays on his blanket and talks up a storm. So by the time we left mom and dad's, it was Drew's bedtime. He slept the whole way home, we put him right to bed and then woke him to eat one more time and he went right back to bed. He did so good, he is just a sweet, happy baby. Mark and I were so excited to see him and spend time with everyone.
Happy Birthday Bradley!

Sweet Jackson

Friday night my cousin Ashley brought over her new baby Jackson. He just smiles and has a head full of dark hair. Jackson and I cuddled while me and Ashley got to catch up with each other. She has now moved into my neighborhood, so I hope we will have many more nights of dinner, chatting, and walks around the neighborhood. It was so good to see you both. Jackson is precious!

Pretty Pretty Princess

On Wednesday, we gave Susanna a Pretty Pretty Princess Birthday Party at work. We had pin the tail on the donkey, the Disney Princess pinata, party hats, pizza and cup cakes. We had the best time. Here is a little video I wanted to share. I don't know what's funnier, me cackling in the background or Susanna's MLB swing.
